In the section New you can directly access predefined projects / templates.
(In the future you will be able to save here your own templates. This function is still under development)

In the section Open you have access to your previously saved projects.
The button Search opens a file dialog, which allows you to upload DesignFiX projects from any location. Each file loading fills the lists Recent projects and Recent folders. These lists serve as history and provide quick access to your current operations.

You will find the function Save 3-times in the user interface with the same functionality.
This serves to an easier and quicker operation.

To simplify the software update, DesignFiX offers a complimentary Internet LiveUpdate.
Here you will find a detailed description of this update function: DesignFiX-LiveUpdate

DesignFiX can calculate any number of products from different manufacturers.
If you have multiple manufacturers or suppliers installed in DesignFiX, then you can manage their order and availability here. By selecting and deselecting a manufacturer you may decide whether his products will be permanently displayed in the product selection and used in the design or not. The order and the position of a manufacturer can only be changed when the manufacturer is activated.

This section is only available if you have installed multiple manufacturers or suppliers.

In the section About DesignFiX you will find your current program version and the LiveUpdate version. Furthermore, you can also see the License agreement, which has to bee be confirmed before each LiveUpdate. DesignFiX is available free of charge and you can install it on as many computers as you want.
